Before you apply
Who can do an internship here?
Students in IT, cybersecurity and related programmes at MBO, HBO and university level. Motivation matters more to us than a perfect grade list.
How long does an internship take?
We follow your study programme: from a short orientation placement to a full graduation project.
How many days per week?
That is agreed during the intake, based on what your school requires and what the project needs.
Is the internship paid?
Compensation is discussed during the intake and depends on your programme and the placement.
Application and screening
Why do I need a certificate of conduct?
We work on security research and with public-sector partners, so screening is part of the process. The certificate (VOG) is free for you.
How long does the whole process take?
Between one week and two months, mostly depending on the certificate of conduct. Apply well before your placement starts.
Can I do the internship remotely?
Partly. We work hybrid, with shared on-site days in The Hague for training and guidance.
During your internship
Who signs my assessment forms?
Email trainee-office@divd.academy for interim and final assessment forms and for approving hours.
My teacher wants to visit. How?
Email the Trainee Office with the teacher's name, or book a teacher visit via our booking page.
I am ill. What do I do?
Report it via Slack, update your Slack status and work from home or rest. See practical matters.
